Morgan earned her Bachelor of Science in Communication Disorders from Truman State University in Kirksville, Missouri. She served as Administrative Assistant and then promoted to Executive Staff Assistant to the Associate Dean of Student and Alumni Affairs at the University of Missouri College of Veterinary Medicine. Her work in these positions included the planning, coordination, and execution of key student and alumni annual events as well as managing the day to day operations of the office. She is also a 2007 VLE alum! Her extensive background in project and event management, along with her connections to the veterinary profession, Universities and the VLE make her uniquely qualified in assuming this role. The VLI Board of Directors developed the position of Director of Operations to better support our expanding work with Universities, organized veterinary medical associations and private practitioners. The position also serves a critical role in coordinating the organization’s outreach to our VLE alumni. Morgan assumes the day to day administrative operations for the Veterinary Leadership Institute and support the work of our three committees: 1) Program and Facilitator Development, 2) Social Media and Marketing, and 3) Alumni Outreach and Development, while also working closely with the VLI’s Executive Director, Dr. Betsy Charles, to further the mission of the VLI.
