Emily M. Tincher, DVM

Emily M. Tincher (Auburn ’16, Kentucky ’12) is a second-generation veterinarian passionate about practical solutions to advance the spectrum of care for pets and their families. After completing a rotating internship, she worked as an emergency doctor in a specialty referral hospital, near Philadelphia, PA and as a Field Veterinarian for Nationwide Pet Insurance. As the Director of Veterinary Relations at Nationwide Pet Insurance, she oversees operations and strategy in the veterinary space, including industry relationships and outreach to veterinary students, veterinarians, and veterinary teams.  She continues to practice clinically in general and emergency practice near her home in Troy, Ohio.

Emily is a proud National Veterinary Business Management Association (VBMA) Board alum (’15). She continues to find avenues such as the AVMA Early Career Development Committee and the Veterinary Leadership Institute to nurture the communication and leadership skills required for veterinary healthcare teams to lead fulfilling careers while meeting their patients’ needs.

Outside of veterinary medicine, Emily enjoys taking care of her mini farm with her husband Kyle, competing her horse (Blue) in the sport of Eventing, and endlessly spoiling her two perfect dogs (Tuxedo and Cricket) and rotten orange tabby (Exploding Poptart).
