Jason Wood, DVM, DACVP

Dr. Jason Wood first attended VLE as a student in June of 2008, returned as a student facilitator in 2010 and has since returned as a facilitator numerous times. He embraced the VLE ethos from the outset and credits it with helping him succeed in the veterinary profession and for providing numerous lifelong friendships. Following graduation from UC Davis, he completed a residency at Oklahoma State University in anatomic pathology and then worked for a small laboratory specializing in small animal surgical pathology for the next 8 years. Most recently he founded Pathwood Veterinary Laboratories (PVL) in 2023 from his home base of Seattle. He strives to lead and grow his team using the principles of VLE and together they work to provide his fellow veterinary professionals and their furry patients with accurate, timely results from a lab that embodies partnership, reliability and open communication. He and his wife currently live in Seattle with their two beagles Noah and Einstein and do their best to enjoy the great PNW outdoors whenever possible. They also love the Seattle sports scene, frequently attending games for the Mariners, Sounders and the new women’s hockey team the Seattle Torrent. When not in Seattle they can be found traveling the world in search of new adventures and visiting friends and family as much as possible.
