I have spent almost 25 years in practice:  starting in mixed animal, then owning a small animal practice with my husband, relief work, and lastly as an associate for the past 12 years, 6 of which were in management.   When VLE starts, I will have been 3 months into my new position with PetWell Partners as a clinical director.  What is a clinical director?  Ask me!

When not working, I love to garden, read, cook, spending time outside with my husband, Wade, our 3 dogs, 2 horses and 2 cats, and traveling.  My bucket list includes trips to Africa and Australia and Egypt.  Our best trips have been those where we balanced relaxation with exploration of not only new places, but new cultures and languages.

I feel it is important to give back to one’s community and have been active with our homeowners’ association and Lions clubs.  Recently I have moved my focus to volunteering at the Texas A&M University Veterinary College (Whoop!) whenever  possible.   I belong to the VET, Veterinary Emergency Team, and Biomedical Science Advisory Committee.

I am excited to be a fascilitator in training for the 2019 VLE!

Favorite item from Harriet’s kitchen:  Any of her desserts- How does she make such perfectly baked cookies?

What you do to have fun and recharge:  Anything outside with my dogs, horses and husband, in any combination is fun whether it is gardening, hiking, or working around our property.  I recharge with a good book or playing Trivia crack.
